| 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, held at Henry's house. Lotsa food, and lots of cool designs. Apparently every year the contest winners get to do something um, uncomfortable, to the contest losers. (see pics from last year and the previous year on Shawn's site). It took while to determine the punishments, but we finally decided to have the winners push the losers into the swimming pool, fully clothed. This was my first time ever carving a pumpkin; I barely knew what I was doing, feeling intimidated by all the other experienced carvers. But apparently mine, as well as Dana's intricately carved "Ahnold luv's CA" pumpkin turned out to be winners! Losers were Tony and Brian, and possibly Jim who escaped early. (Un)fortunately the pool was closed, so the punshiments will have to resume another day. |
