Funnest, Girly-est weekend ever! Jennie, Jean, Dana, and I drove down to San Diego for the weekend. Met up with Diana, and we all took a surfing lesson at La Jolla beach on Saturday. The waves were kinda puny, but we were all stars and caught a few waves in the shallow shores. WOO! Of course, we also brought a frisbee out and played some 2 on 2 on the sand. Quite a difficult task! We also basked out under the sun and got sunburned. After the beach we strolled around Old Town and got some dinner.
We had grand plans of hitting the bars at the Gaslamp Qtrs. But after getting back to hotel and showering, we were all pretty tired. We flipped through the TV and decided to get an in-room movie. We all decided to watch "13 going on 30", how girly! To prepare for the movie, we went down the street to Vons in our pajamas and stocked up junk food, microwavable goods, ice cream, popscicles, pastries, mmm mmm! Sunday morning we had grand plans of going back to the beach and surfing some more before hitting the road again. Instead we continued our girly trend and just laid around in bed in our pajamas,gossiped about boys, and talked about girly things like tampons. It was quite fun to get in touch with my feminine side this weekend. It's great to know I've got some fun female friends to hang out with! It's a good change from the usual sausage-fest I normally deal with in the bay area! :P *tee hee* |
